PatientGuy
Editor-in-Chief & Certified Canine Specialist
PatientGuy is a lifelong dog enthusiast and Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT-KA) with over 15 years of experience specializing in brachycephalic breeds. After adopting Barnaby, a French Bulldog with severe BOAS, he dedicated his career to researching and testing specialized gear that improves the quality of life for flat-faced dogs. His work has been featured in major pet publications, and he regularly consults with specialized veterinarians to ensure all recommendations on The Brachycephalic Lab meet the highest anatomical safety standards. When he's not testing harnesses or reviewing cooling mats, he can be found hiking with Barnaby in the cool morning hours or volunteering at local Bulldog rescues. He believes that while these dogs might breathe a little louder, they deserve the absolute best care the pet industry can offer.

Our Review Approach
Every product recommendation on DogSupplyFinder goes through a rigorous evaluation process. We test products hands-on with real dogs to ensure they meet our standards for quality and value.
The Testing Protocol
- Comfort & Fit: Does this product work well for the intended dog size and breed?
- Durability: Will the materials hold up to real-world, everyday use?
- Value: Is the quality worth the price, and are there better alternatives?
- Safety: Are the materials and construction safe for extended use?
- Breed Range: We test with dogs of various sizes and breeds to verify broad compatibility.
Independence & Transparency
We never accept payment for positive reviews. When we use affiliate links, we clearly disclose this. Our editorial integrity is non-negotiable — if a product doesn't meet our standards, we won't recommend it regardless of potential commissions.
